Important points to know for online submission of modification requests


1. For Mobile number change, OTP will be sent to new mobile number. Please enter the OTP on Re-KYC screen to proceed. The OTP should not be shared with anyone for security reason.

2. For Email ID change, OTP will be sent to new email ID. Please enter the OTP on Re-KYC screen to proceed. The OTP should not be shared with anyone for security reason.

3. Always both sides of Aadhaar card/Voter ID card should be scanned on the same side of the page, otherwise images of both sides should be collaged and then uploaded.

4. Before uploading Aadhaar, first 8 digits of Aadhaar Number should be blocked/blackened. Uploading non-masked Aadhaar will lead to rejection of the request.

5. If Client doesn’t have any existing nominee, then he/she should Opt-out of nomination by going into Nomination Tab.

6. Signature image will be accepted only in JPG and PNG format. Other documents can be uploaded in JPG or PNG or PDF format.

7. Client has to accept the Terms and Condition and e-sign the request(s) in the application for successful Re-KYC.

8. The summary of all modification requests should be checked properly before e-signing. After e-signing, request cannot be modified.

9. The e-signed request may not be accepted by SMIFS Re-KYC Team if the uploaded documents or information are not found proper. If Re-KYC request is rejected by SMIFS, then a rejection email will be sent to the Client with reason for rejection.

10. In case of rejection of request by SMIFS Re-KYC Team, Client has to submit fresh request taking care of the rejection reason(s) in the email sent to the client for earlier request.

11. Once Re-KYC request is accepted by SMIFS, then an email will be forwarded to Client with the signed PDF as attachment.
