SELF-HOSTED FONTS
=================

These are the faces the app is designed in, served from this server so an
install with no internet access looks exactly like one with it.

Archivo body text (the house default)
Space Grotesk headings on the themes that use a display face
  Spectral the sign-in heading (serif)
IBM Plex Mono codes: OTP boxes, counters
Inter only used when branding-config.json sets "typography" to
                   sans / serif / minimal / editorial

fontawesome/ the icon font (Font Awesome 6.5.1 Free): css/all.min.css +
webfonts/*.woff2. Keep css/ and webfonts/ side by side - the css
points at ../webfonts/. Licence: icons CC BY 4.0, fonts SIL OFL
1.1, code MIT (header kept at the top of the css).

Only "latin" and "latin-ext" are included for the text faces above. latin-ext is REQUIRED: it holds the
Indian rupee sign (U+20B9). The browser downloads a file only when a character
in its unicode-range is on screen, so the 400 KB folder costs a typical page
roughly 100-130 KB.

Changing them after a build (no rebuild needed)
-----------------------------------------------
1. Put your .woff2 file(s) in this folder.
2. Add an @font-face for each in fonts.css (keep font-display: swap, and keep a
latin-ext file for it if you have one - otherwise the rupee sign falls back
   to a system font).
3. Point the app at the new family in branding-config.json, "fonts" block
   (see branding-config.help.txt). Hard-refresh the browser.

Where they came from
--------------------
Downloaded from fonts.googleapis.com (css2 API), Latin + Latin Extended
subsets only. All five families are published there under the SIL Open Font
License 1.1 (https://openfontlicense.org), which allows bundling and
redistribution. Keep this file with them. To re-fetch (e.g. a newer version),
request the same families from the css2 API with a modern browser User-Agent and
replace the woff2 files + fonts.css.
